What is the wisdom behind prohibiting acting that is free of mixing and music?

Scholars have differed on the ruling regarding acting that is free from prohibitions. Some have not permitted it, arguing that it involves lying and diminishes the actor's dignity. Others have permitted it if it adheres to Sharia guidelines, is free from prohibitions, and serves a legitimate Islamic interest.
