What is the ruling on the reciter's saying, "And I supplicated to the God of Taha," and is this phrase considered polytheism (shirk)?

Appealing to God through the person of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, or through his right, his status, his attribute, or his blessing, is a forbidden type of tawassul (seeking nearness to Allah through an intermediary); because it is an innovation for which there is no evidence, and it leads to extremism and polytheism. Moreover, "Taha" is not one of the names of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
