What is the ruling of Islam regarding a husband who is dishonest and unclear with his wife about his financial income, and who asks her to contribute her money to the household?

Lying is a reprehensible moral trait forbidden by Islamic law. However, it is permissible for a husband to lie to his wife for a beneficial purpose; otherwise, he must avoid it. A husband is not obligated to inform his wife about the amount of his income. The wife's contribution to expenses is not obligatory for her but rather falls under the category of cooperation.
