Is it permissible for the Imam to supplicate for himself exclusively, without including the congregants?

If the supplication is audible, and the congregants say "Ameen" to it, then the Imam should include the congregants with him in the supplication and not dedicate it to himself alone without them. If he does so, he has betrayed them, based on the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: "There are three things that no one is permitted to do: A man should not lead people in prayer and dedicate the supplication to himself without them, for if he does so, he has betrayed them." This is also because the one who says "Ameen" to a supplication is one of the supplicants, as Allah Almighty says: (Your prayer has been answered) [Yunus: 89] regarding the supplication of Musa and the affirmation of Harun. As for private supplications, such as supplications during prostration (sujud) and after the tashahhud, the Imam may supplicate for himself, and the congregant may supplicate for himself.
