Is it permissible for a traveling woman to wear perfume for her husband when going out in non-Islamic countries?

Traveling to non-Muslim countries is permissible out of necessity if the Sharia (definition) guidelines are observed and there is no fear of temptation (fitna). A woman going out perfumed, when there is a certainty or strong suspicion of temptation, is not permissible. She should only perfume herself for her husband in her home. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If a woman perfumes herself and passes by people so that they may smell her fragrance, then she is such and such," and in An-Nasa'i: "then she is an adulteress."
