Is it permissible to give the zakat entrusted by an old woman suffering from Alzheimer's to the wife, given that the one paying the zakat is poor and supports two daughters?

Scholars have differed on the permissibility for an agent (wakīl) to pay zakat to their deserving relatives and kin. The Hanafis and Hanbalis permit this, provided that the principal (muwakkil) has not specified certain individuals or entities that do not include the agent's relatives, and that there is no favoritism shown by the agent to their relatives in assessing their eligibility. Based on this, there is no harm in giving to the wife from the grandmother's zakat if the husband's salary is insufficient to cover her essential needs or debts, provided there is no favoritism in assessing these needs.
