Is it permissible to supplicate to become a cartoonist?

Drawing cartoon characters may be permissible or forbidden, depending on what is drawn and what it leads to. It is permissible to pray that you become a cartoonist for permissible cartoons. However, it is not permissible to pray for forbidden drawings, because asking for what is forbidden is an aggression that is prohibited in His (the Almighty's) saying: "Call upon your Lord in humility and privately; indeed, He does not like aggressors" (Al-A'raf: 55). Aggression in supplication may involve asking for forbidden things or for what God does not do. It is better for a Muslim to supplicate with comprehensive prayers that encompass the good of this world and the Hereafter.
