Is the repentance of a major sinner not accepted if he has other sins such as cutting off family ties or quarreling?

Ibn al-Qayyim holds that repentance is not valid for a sin while persisting in another sin of the same type (e.g., repenting from one type of usury while persisting in another type of usury). However, repentance is valid for a sin while committing another sin that is unrelated to it (e.g., repenting from usury while persisting in drinking alcohol).
