If the deceased left no heirs other than his father, mother, wife, and two daughters, then the mother receives one-sixth (1/6) as a fixed share, and the father receives one-sixth (1/6) as a fixed share due to the presence of a lineal descendant. The wife receives one-eighth (1/8) as a fixed share due to the presence of a lineal descendant, and the two daughters receive two-thirds (2/3) as a fixed share. The full brothers receive nothing, as they are excluded by complete exclusion due to the father. The issue is one of ‘awl (a proportional reduction of shares), so the estate is divided into twenty-seven (27) shares: the mother receives four (4) shares, the father four (4) shares, the wife three (3) shares, and each daughter eight (8) shares. Matters related to inheritance should be referred to the Sharia courts due to the presence of certain bequests, debts, or other rights that the heirs may not be aware of.
