Is the funeral prayer obligatory for a deceased six-month-old female infant, and how is she to be washed?

If a fetus is stillborn after completing four months in its mother's womb, it is to be washed, shrouded, and prayed over. If it emerges alive and cries out (makes a sound), then it is to be washed and prayed over by scholarly consensus. Ahmad and Abu Dawud narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: "The miscarried fetus is prayed over, and forgiveness and mercy are supplicated for its parents."
