What is the ruling on listening to religious radio broadcasts or tapes if the presenter or preacher does not pronounce some letters correctly, such as not pronouncing the hamza in "In Sha Allah," or rushing the prayer upon the Prophet, or not pronouncing the "ha" in the name "Allah"? Is it obligatory to turn off the radio in this case?

We advise you to be keen on benefiting from useful lessons and lectures. You have done well in advising these people and corresponding with them regarding the observations. However, the mentioned error – if proven – does not justify you abandoning the benefit from useful tapes and programs, for abundant good is not to be forsaken for a small evil. Imam Al-Shafi'i said: "If the books of the people of knowledge were to be abandoned due to an error found within them, no book of theirs from which knowledge is taken would remain, and people would thereby be deprived of much good."
