Is it permissible to listen to the recitation of a reciter who makes some mistakes in the vowelization (damm of a fat-ḥa or kasra) despite his recitation being reassuring?

One should not listen to a recitation from someone who alters the grammatical diacritics (harakat al-i'rab), as this may lead to a change in meaning. The jurists have explicitly prohibited listening to a recitation from someone who shortens the prolonged vowels (qasr al-mamdud) or prolongs the short vowels (madd al-maqsur), because the Quran is to be preserved from addition and omission. Listening to the recitation of proficient reciters renders listening to those who err unnecessary.
