Is it a sin for a Muslim to be affected by the recitation of the Quran by a specific reciter (such as Al-Shuraim and Al-Sudais), and not be affected to the same extent when reciting it himself?

There is no harm in a person's inclination to listen to specific reciters, or in their feeling of humility (khushu') when listening to the recitation and supplication of others, more so than when listening to their own recitation and supplication. Tadabbur (contemplation) means that a person feels that Allah is speaking to them, and that they are being addressed by the Qur'an. Thus, they strive to obey His commands and avoid His prohibitions, they desire His promises and fear His warnings, and they ponder over its stories and learn lessons from the accounts of those who came before. One should make this the focus of their attention, without concentrating on the reciter's voice and neglecting the meanings of the recitation, as this aids in achieving humility and contemplation.
