- The inheritance of a deceased grandfather who left behind a wife and grandchildren: The wife receives one-eighth due to the existence of a inheriting offspring, and the remainder goes to the grandchildren by way of ta'sib, with the male receiving the share of two females. Nothing goes to his brothers and sisters because they are completely excluded (mahjub hirman) by the sons of the son.
- It is permissible for the grandfather to gift his house or other possessions to his grandchildren, provided that he vacates the house and hands it over to the donees before his death illness.
