Cosmetic procedures are divided into permissible and impermissible. The permissible ones are those undertaken to remove harm, pain, or a defect. Anything other than that is not permissible because it falls under altering Allah's creation. Peeling procedures to remove blemishes or the effects of illness are permissible. Laser hair removal (excluding what is prohibited) is acceptable if it does not cause harm. As for laser weight loss, it is permissible if it is for removing a defect, pain, or illness, but it is not permissible if it is merely for beautification and enhancing appearance.
