The view that the earth becomes pure through dryness is more fitting and gentler for those afflicted with scrupulosity. Many scholars have permitted acting upon a less preferred opinion in cases of hardship.

As for objects connected to the ground, such as basins and doors, if their impurity is certain, they must be purified with water, as they are not considered part of the earth. Pouring water over them is sufficient if they become impure with a liquid substance.

There is no need to exert oneself or search for impurity based merely on doubts, as this leads to scrupulosity. If purity is predominantly thought to have occurred, one should act upon that.

One must be cautious of scrupulosity and cut off prolonged engagement with doubts and delusions, as it is among the causes of corruption in both religious and worldly affairs.
