Is the sin of listening to music equal to the sin of uttering obscene words (insults)?

Reviling a Muslim without right is a greater sin and a more heinous crime than listening to forbidden music and musical instruments, because unlawful revilement can be a destructive major sin, like slander, and the texts have consistently forbidden it and warned against it. Listening to musical instruments is forbidden, but reviling a Muslim relates to the right of Allah and the right of the Muslim, and the rights of human beings are based on strictness and thoroughness, so a Muslim's repentance from it requires seeking absolution from the right of the creature. As for music, it relates solely to the right of Allah. The severity of a sin may change based on the shame or disdain associated with it in the heart.
