Is the regret in repentance achieved by recalling Allah's punishment, or by feeling sorrow for missing out on the delights of Paradise, or by remembering Allah's greatness and love, or by combining these three matters?

All these meanings and others, which bring about remorse—whether they occur together or only some of them are present—then whenever remorse is found in the heart, which is regret over committing the sin and sorrow over perpetrating it, the objective has been achieved.
