What is the ruling on following a person who claims that using technology, medicines, and cold beverages is forbidden, and who performs the Fajr prayer at sunrise, and the Jumu'ah prayer when the shadow of something becomes twice its length, and who claims that Hajj in Mecca and Medina is impermissible because they have become built with cement, and what is necessary to deter the brother from following these concepts?

What has been mentioned about this man is clear misguidance, and its clarification is in the following points:

1. Delaying the prayer until near sunrise is contrary to the Sunnah (definition). Performing it after sunrise is forbidden, and whoever does so intentionally is abandoning the Fajr prayer. The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to conclude the Fajr prayer before the light spread.

2. Prohibiting the use of technology, medicines, and cold drinks, and claiming that whoever uses them will die a bad death: all of this is a lie against Allah, and a prohibition of what He has permitted. Allah the Almighty says: (Say, "Who has forbidden the adornment of Allah which He has produced for His servants and the good things of provision?") Al-A'raf/32. The basic principle regarding things and benefits is permissibility and lawfulness, unless there is evidence for their prohibition.

3. Medical treatment is prescribed by many texts.

4. The time for Jumu'ah ends with the entry of the Asr prayer time, by consensus. Whoever prays Jumu'ah during the Asr time, his Jumu'ah is not valid.

5. Whoever says that Hajj is not permissible in Makkah because they built it with cement, is a disbeliever; because he has forbidden an obligation that Allah has ordained and made a pillar of Islam.

These delusions only gain traction among the weak-minded. It is advisable to seek the help of people of knowledge to engage with this man and clarify the error of his beliefs.
