What is the ruling on making a worshiper laugh and disturbing them with speech, and is the hadith: "He who makes a worshiper laugh has made a thousand angels weep" authentic?

Prayer is of great importance in Islam, and the Shari'ah has warned against anything that distracts a worshipper from it. Attempting to distract a worshipper or make him laugh through movements or words is an act of forbidden frivolity that is feared to be a mockery of religious rituals, and it may lead to apostasy. The hadith that states: "Whoever makes a worshipper laugh has made Allah weep" is not authentic and has not been reported in the books of Sunnah. However, it is not permissible for a Muslim to distract his brother from his prayer, and whoever does so incurs a great sin.
