What is the ruling on naming animals with the epithets of the Companions, such as "Hurayrah" and "Humayra'," even if there is no intention of associating them with the Companions?

Some Companions were given animal nicknames, such as Hurayrah (kitten) and Himar (donkey). Abdullah, nicknamed Himar, used to make the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, laugh, and the Prophet said about him: "Do not curse him, for he loves Allah and His Messenger." There is no harm in giving animal names to their original designations. And Humayra, which was used for Aisha, is not derived from Himar (donkey), but from humrah (redness), meaning whiteness.
