The answer

Accusing someone of sorcery without proof is not permissible, and there is no evidence that the mere advent of Ramadan invalidates the effect of sorcery. It has been authentically reported that devils are chained during Ramadan, which may weaken the influence of sorcerers. Sorcery has an effect by Allah's permission, and some of it causes separation between a man and his wife. For treating sorcery, ruqyah shar'iyyah (Islamic incantation) is used, consisting of Qur'an recitation and supplications. Among the recommended verses are: Surah Al-A'raf (106-122), Yunus (79-82), Taha (65-69), in addition to Ayah al-Kursy, Al-Fatihah, and the two mu'awwidhatayn (Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Nas). One must diligently observe morning and evening adhkar (remembrances) and stay away from sins, as this is among the best means of protection and cure from sorcery.
