Adultery is a grave sin, and its perpetrator must repent and conceal their deed. If one confesses to it, the prescribed punishment will be carried out. A severe warning has been issued against anyone who attributes a lineage to a people that does not belong to them. If a married woman gives birth to a child conceived through adultery, the child's lineage is not disclaimed from her husband, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The child belongs to the bed." If she is unmarried, the child is attributed to her. If the mother is corrupt, her right to custody is forfeited and transfers to the next eligible person. If the father fears that the children will be lost or deviate, he has the right to claim custody.
