Does sin result from leaving the Qur’an to be recited in the home without listening to it, or from hearing the sound of the Qur’an while in the restroom unintentionally?

It is permissible to play Quran recitations in the home while performing other tasks, but it is better to listen and pay attention. If a Muslim is occupied with matters that prevent them from listening, it is preferable to turn off the device out of reverence for the Quran and to avoid the difference of opinion regarding the obligation of listening. There is no harm in the sound of the recitation reaching the bathroom.
