Advice to the sister is to continue advising her husband and supplicating for his guidance, repentance, and righteousness instead of supplicating against him, especially if he is an oppressor, while observing the rules for supplicating against an oppressor. It is permissible for a woman to seek khul' from her husband if she dislikes him due to his character, conduct, lack of religiosity, old age, or weakness, and she fears that she will not be able to uphold the boundaries of Allah, based on the Almighty's saying: "Then if you fear that they will not be able to uphold the boundaries of Allah, there is no blame upon either of them concerning what she gives up to be freed thereby." And Allah, the Exalted, will compensate her with someone better than him.
