Is it permissible for a girl to marry a man who is religiously and morally suitable without her father's consent, when he refuses him for un-Shar'i reasons, and can a guardian be appointed by the court in this case?

A woman must obey her parents in rejecting a suitor unless she fears falling into disobedience to Allah. If she can be patient and seek someone else, she should do so. However, if she fears falling into what angers Allah should she not marry him, then there is no blame upon her for accepting him. Her father must then marry her to him if he is suitable; otherwise, she may take the matter to the judiciary. She must cut off all contact with the suitor until the lawful marriage is contracted. She should also perform Istikhara (prayer for guidance) and seek counsel. As for her salary, it is her sole property. Her marrying someone with whom she fears temptation, without her father's consent, is neither disbelief nor disobedience. She must still treat her father kindly and dutifully, even if he mistreats her.
