What is the meaning of the Hadith: "If what is less than a fingernail's breadth of what is in Paradise were to appear, it would adorn all that is between the horizons of the heavens and the earth. And if a man from the people of Paradise were to look out and his bracelets were to appear, their light would eclipse the light of the sun just as the sun eclipses the light of the stars," and His saying: "And if a woman from the people of Paradise were to look out upon the people of the earth, she would illuminate all that is between them," and does this illumination include the sky and the earth on which we live?

Al-Tirmidhi narrated a hadith from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, describing a small part of the bliss of Paradise and the beauty of its inhabitants, which states: "If less than a fingernail's worth of what is in Paradise were to appear, it would adorn what is between the ends of the heavens and the earth. And if a man from the people of Paradise were to look out and his bracelets appeared, they would eclipse the light of the sun." The hadith was explained as "less than a fingernail" meaning what a fingernail can carry, and "would adorn" meaning it would be beautified and its goodness perfected, and "the ends of the heavens and the earth" are its extremes, or the East and the West. In another hadith, Al-Bukhari mentioned on the authority of Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If a woman from the people of Paradise were to look out upon the people of the earth, she would illuminate what is between them and fill it with fragrance, and the headscarf on her head is better than the world and everything in it." "Illuminated what is between them" was explained as what is between Paradise and the earth.
