Is there a solution to despair in the Qur’an and Sunnah?

What remains of this world are trials and tribulations, and the duty is to be patient and perform righteous deeds to face them. The Prophet (peace be upon him) urged us to hasten to righteous deeds before the onset of trials that would cause a person to sell their religion for a worldly gain. A believer blames themselves when afflicted by a calamity, for Allah decrees matters with great wisdom. The servant should not hope in anyone but their Lord, and should not fear except their own sins. Evil afflicts the servant because of their sins, as stated in the Almighty's saying: "And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is because of what your hands have earned; and He pardons much." Calamities are among the evil consequences that befall a person due to their sins, whereas good deeds are blessings from Allah.
