What is the ruling on the first divorce that occurred three months ago, which the husband revoked against her will, and the second divorce that occurred twice consecutively a month ago, and what is the ruling on a secret marriage to another man?

The husband has the right to take back his wife after the first and second divorce, as long as she is still within her waiting period (iddah), without requiring her acceptance or the acceptance of her guardian. This is based on the Almighty's saying: (And their husbands have more right to take them back in that [period] if they want reconciliation). As for after the third divorce, he has no way back to her, based on the Almighty's saying: (And if he has divorced her [for the third time], then she is not lawful to him afterward until she marries another husband).

The marriage of a woman while she is in her waiting period is null and prohibited by Sharia, by scholarly consensus. The waiting period ends with the completion of three menstrual cycles for a menstruating woman, or three months for a non-menstruating woman, or by giving birth for a pregnant woman.

A secret marriage is valid if it fulfills its conditions, such as the consent of both parties, the guardian, and the presence of witnesses, even if it is not publicly announced through a celebration or registration, although it is preferable to announce it, as the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "Announce the marriage." However, a marriage without a guardian or without fulfilling the conditions is invalid.
