What is the ruling on the money earned by the husband from bringing a client to an advertising company, knowing that the client (a wedding company) will publish forbidden things (unlawful songs) on the website that the company will design, and must he dispose of the percentage of profits he obtained from this contract, and what should he do with the money if it is unlawful, and is he permitted to benefit from it temporarily if he is in need of it?

There is no objection to the husband's work, provided he avoids dealing with companies involved in prohibited activities. If his work is limited to dealing with customers whose activities are permissible, then his earnings are lawful. However, if he deals with a customer whose work is prohibited, then a portion of his earnings will be unlawful. But if the husband was unaware of the prohibition of his cooperation with the company, he may benefit from the entire salary and bonus, and he is not required to donate anything, provided he repents and does not return to such dealings, and limits himself to dealing with those whose work is permissible, based on the Almighty's saying: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression." It is preferable for him to donate an amount from his salary commensurate with the prohibited act, as a precaution and to clear his conscience. He should also advise his boss at work to stop dealing with those involved in unlawful activities, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Religion is advice."
