What is the ruling on proposing to a religious girl who does not wear the niqab? Is a man sinful for going out for a stroll with his veiled wife who does not wear the niqab? Is he considered a 'dayyuth' (pimp/cuckold)? Is it permissible to travel with her to Turkey for leisure after marriage?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, guided us to choose a woman of faith when seeking a wife. Scholars have differed on the permissibility of a woman uncovering her face in front of strangers when there is no fear of temptation, but the prevailing fatwa is that it is obligatory to cover it. If a woman follows the opinion of those who permit uncovering the face, then this does not diminish her. However, if she uncovers her face while believing it is not permissible, she is negligent, but this alone does not negate her description as a woman of faith if she is diligent in performing her obligatory duties and abstaining from forbidden acts.

If you marry a woman who uncovers her face, and you believe that covering the face is obligatory, then it is not permissible for you to go out with her or travel with her while she is uncovered. Rather, it is obligatory for you to compel her to cover her face, and this is not considered cuckoldry (dayatha). However, if you believe that uncovering her face is permissible, then there is no harm in you going out with her or traveling with her while she uncovers her face.

If you command your wife to cover her face, she is obligated to obey you. Traveling for leisure is permissible as long as it is not to a place where corruption predominates.
