Why does a woman wear a full hijab in prayer while a man does not, and why can't women become imams like men?
Allah Almighty has enjoined upon Muslims (men and women) the covering of their 'awrah (private parts) and the adornment (taking of zinah) at every mosque. The woman's body differs from the man's, and Allah has enjoined upon her the covering of her body in prayer and in front of non-mahram men for a wise reason. Some people have tried to rebel against this natural inclination, so men imitated women and women imitated men, but they clashed with reality and nothing of what they desired was achieved, because a man is not a woman, and a woman is not a man. Each of them has specific rulings concerning subsidiary matters, even though the general call is addressed to both equally.
