How sound is the supplication for facilitating marriage attributed to Sheikh Al-Munajji, and is it permissible for anyone to institute specific supplications for particular matters like righteous offspring or facilitating marriage, especially since this supplication was not narrated from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, nor from his Companions?

There is no known specific supplication (du'a) for marriage that is authentically transmitted (ma'thur). However, the supplication mentioned contains the Greatest Name of Allah (al-Ism al-A'dham) and is the most frequent supplication of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire." This is considered a comprehensive supplication. It is permissible for a Muslim to supplicate to Allah for anything good in this world and the Hereafter, as long as it does not involve sin or breaking ties of kinship. Allah is near; He answers the supplication of the one who supplicates. It is not necessary to restrict oneself to a specific supplication to attain what is desired. It is preferable to adhere to the transmitted supplications that comprehensively encompass the good of this world and the Hereafter. Furthermore, one must strive to achieve chastity through marriage by seeking assistance through permissible means, piety, and righteous deeds. The community should cooperate in this endeavor.
