Is it permissible for a wife to go out alone to visit her family or friends, knowing that her husband can drive her?

A woman is permitted to go out alone to visit her family or friends if her husband grants permission and the legitimate Islamic conditions are met, provided it is not a journey. If it is a journey, then she is not allowed to travel except with a mahram, even if her husband gives her permission. It is preferable for the woman to consider her husband's circumstances and only go out on days when he is not busy, so he can accompany her.
