What is the ruling on the Adhan and Iqamah in the grave of the deceased when he is placed therein?

There is no doubt that this is an innovation (bid‘ah) that was not transmitted from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) nor from his Companions. This is based on his (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever introduces into this matter of ours something that does not belong to it, it will be rejected," and "Whoever performs an action which is not in accordance with our matter, it will be rejected," and "The worst of affairs are their newly invented matters, and every innovation is a misguidance."
