What is the authenticity and explanation of the hadith: "Whoever satisfies his desire in this world will be prevented from his gratification in the Hereafter"?

The hadith "Whoever satisfies his desire in this world, a barrier will be placed between him and his desire in the Hereafter," was narrated by Al-Tabarani with a connected but weak chain of transmission, and it is a weak hadith. Even if we assume its authenticity, it should be interpreted as referring to one who fulfills his needs and desires in what is unlawful for him, not in what is lawful. For Allah the Almighty said: ﴿Say, "Who has forbidden the adornment of Allah which He has produced for His servants and the good things, pure and lawful, from the provision?" Say, "They are for those who believe during the worldly life and exclusively for them on the Day of Resurrection." Thus do We explain the verses in detail for a people who know.﴾ [Al-A'raf:32]. This indicates that whoever enjoys lawful and good things in this world will not be deprived of good things in the Hereafter.
