What is the legal ruling regarding the niqab for a girl who suffers from severe eye allergies and swelling, and cannot see clearly because of it, knowing its obligatory nature, and with the suitor refusing to have his fiancée without a niqab?

Scholars differ regarding the permissibility for a woman to unveil her face in front of non-mahram men when there is no fear of fitna (temptation). The relied-upon opinion with us is that it is not permissible. However, if your fiancée is harmed by wearing the niqab, then there is no blame upon her for removing it. And if she cannot cover her face by any means that does not harm her, then there is no blame upon her for unveiling her face. But if she believes that covering the face is obligatory, then in this situation, she should limit her outdoor excursions to what is necessary.
