How is the inheritance distributed among one full brother and three daughters?

If the heirs are limited to daughters and a full brother only, then the daughters receive two-thirds as their prescribed share, based on Allah's saying: ﴿فَإِنْ كُنَّ نِسَاءً فَوْقَ اثْنَتَيْنِ فَلَهُنَّ ثُلُثَا مَا تَرَكَ﴾ (But if there are [only] daughters, two or more, for them is two thirds of what he left). The remainder goes to the full brother by way of asabah (residuary heir), based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Give the prescribed shares to those entitled to them, and whatever remains is for the closest male heir." Thus, the inheritance is divided into nine shares: six shares for the daughters (two shares for each), and three shares for the full brother.
