How do we know that we are truly believers?

The faith of believers varies depending on the strength of their conviction, belief, love for Allah, hope in Him, fear of Him, and reliance upon Him, as well as their adherence to righteous deeds and avoidance of prohibitions.

Signs of strong faith include: 1. Prioritizing the love of Allah and His Messenger over oneself and one's desires. 2. Sacrificing one's life and wealth in the way of Allah. 3. Loving those who love Allah and His Messenger, and disliking those who dislike them. 4. Being content with divine decree and destiny. 5. Hastening towards good deeds and avoiding evil. 6. Attaining tranquility through the remembrance of Allah, as Allah the Almighty says: "Those who believe and whose hearts find comfort in the remembrance of Allah. Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured." 7. Certainty in Allah and holding fast to Him, as Allah the Almighty says: "The believers are only those who have believed in Allah and His Messenger and then doubt not but strive with their properties and their lives in the cause of Allah. It is those who are the truthful." 8. Feeling joy at acts of obedience and distress at acts of disobedience, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "He whom his good deeds please and his evil deeds displease, that is the believer."
