Does envy change the sex of a baby in the womb?

Envy is the abhorrence of Allah's blessing upon the envied and wishing for its removal. It is one of the major sins. It does not change anything from Allah's decree; rather, it is a source of regret for the envious person and elevation for the envied. The evil of the envious person can be repelled by ten means: seeking refuge in Allah, fearing Allah, being patient with him, relying upon Allah, emptying the heart from thinking about him, turning to Allah and being sincere to Him, repenting to Allah, giving charity and doing good deeds, extinguishing the fire of the envious person by being good to him, and purifying Tawhid (monotheism) and knowing that everything is by Allah's permission.
