Is it permissible to lie by claiming a dream vision to frighten someone who abandons prayer and encourage him to perform it, despite the prohibition of lying?

Lying is forbidden, and its prohibition intensifies when it involves falsely claiming a dream one has not seen. Whoever claims to have dreamed a dream they did not see will be tasked to tie two grains of barley together, and they will never be able to do so.

Therefore, we advise staying away from lying in this matter, and to encourage and warn family members using texts from the two Revelations (Qur'an and Sunnah), for they have a greater impact on souls than stories and dreams.
