Does a divorce pronounced by a husband while angry, via telephone to his mother to inform his pregnant wife, saying: "Tell her: you are divorced, divorced, divorced," take effect?

If the husband says to his wife's mother: "Tell her she is divorced," then the divorce takes effect the moment he says it, even if the mother does not inform the wife of it. This is because divorce takes effect by its utterance, regardless of the wife's knowledge of it.

And if the husband says to his wife: "You are divorced, divorced, divorced," only one divorce takes effect.

As for divorce in a state of anger: if the husband's anger reaches a degree where he does not know what he is saying, or if his anger is so severe that it compels him to divorce, and he would not have divorced were it not for the anger, then the divorce does not take effect. It is advisable to refer to the Sharia court to examine the ruling on this divorce.
