What is the ruling on hairsprays? Must they be removed when performing ablution (Wudu')?

Using hairspray is permissible as long as it does not contain impure, forbidden, or harmful substances. However, Wudu (ablution) is not valid with it on, so it must be removed before wiping the head, as Allah Almighty says: "{and wipe over your heads}." If there is something that prevents water from reaching the hair, then the wiping is not Islamically valid.
