What is the ruling on purchasing perfumes, air fresheners, and scented candles online by description without smelling them, and is the contract void if there is no description or if it is not read?

For a sale to be valid, knowledge of the item being sold is required. This can be achieved through seeing it, describing it, or, depending on the item, smelling or tasting it. It is permissible to sell perfumes and similar items online by relying on their description, the detailing of their ingredients, and their volume. Viewing through an image or a description is considered sufficient. If the item sold deviates from the description, the buyer has the option of rescinding the sale due to the defect in the characteristic. Furthermore, a sale without sight or description is permissible, and the buyer retains the option [to accept or reject] upon seeing the item, which is the view of Abu Hanifa.
