Adultery is one of the gravest sins and indecencies. Allah has threatened those who commit adultery with multiplied torment on the Day of Resurrection, and He has forbidden approaching its causes, such as unlawful looking, mixing, and prohibited seclusion. The questioner must offer sincere repentance and regret for what has passed, with a firm resolve not to return to it. She should leave the mixed-gender workplace that was a cause for falling into indecency, conceal her sin, and hasten to seek a husband who will keep her chaste, for a Muslim woman's prayer and impel her to abandon indecencies.
