What is your advice regarding a wife who is preoccupied with her mobile phone and social media, and refuses intercourse without a legitimate Sharia-compliant excuse?

Allah commanded good companionship between spouses. It is not part of good companionship for one spouse to be preoccupied with social media, neglecting the other; rather, a specific time should be set for it. A wife's preoccupation with these means, neglecting her husband, is a cause for aversion, and it may lead to separation. A person is accountable for how they spend their life. A wife's refusal of intercourse without a valid excuse is a major sin. If a woman calls her husband to her bed and she refuses, and he spends the night angry with her, the angels curse her until morning. The husband should advise his wife, admonish her, and warn her with punishment. If she does not respond, he should abandon her in bed. If she persists in her defiance, he may strike her a non-bruising blow, or seek the help of her family to advise her, or threaten her with divorce. He may divorce her if she continues in this. The maintenance and clothing of a defiant wife who does not allow her husband to have intercourse with her are forfeited. The husband is permitted to strike her if she insists on her defiance.
