Does the time for the Dhuhr prayer extend to the Adhan of Asr in winter, and does delaying it for an excuse, along with intrusive thoughts, necessitate repentance?

The time for Dhuhr prayer extends until the beginning of the Asr prayer time, which is when the shadow of an object becomes equal to its height, excluding the shadow at noon (zawal). The shadow during Asr prayer in winter is longer than in summer. There is no sin in delaying the prayer until the end of its time as long as it is performed within that time. If someone fears the time will expire and has an excuse, they may combine it with Asr due to need. One must ward off intrusive thoughts (waswas) and strive to overcome them.
