A parent's supplication against their child is not answered if it is without just cause. If a servant is afflicted by a calamity or feels a lack of success, they should review themselves and their relationship with God, for affliction does not descend except due to a sin and is not removed except through repentance. Furthermore, among the punishments for sins are the disappearance of blessings and the onset of misfortunes, hence the need to renew repentance and seek forgiveness.
