The imamate of this person is valid and sufficient in all cases, because he is either a resident in his home, or a resident for a period that severs travel (two weeks), or he shortens the prayer at his workplace, following some scholars who believe that a traveler may shorten prayers as long as he does not intend absolute permanent residence. There is no need for anyone who prayed behind him to repeat their prayer.
