Is it permissible for a traveler to shorten the prayer for three days after arrival, and when moving between regions at a distance that allows for shortening? And what must a traveler do if they move between two cities; should they shorten the prayer on the way or after arrival?

The traveler shortens the prayer if the distance reaches 83 kilometers. If he arrives at his destination and intends to stay four days or more, he completes the prayer. However, if he intends to stay less, or does not intend anything due to hesitation, he shortens the prayer, even if the duration is long. Therefore, shortening the prayer for three days upon arrival is not correct, and these prayers must be made up. As for moving between the Emirates of the state, it permits shortening the prayer if the distance is met. There is another opinion that states the traveler shortens the prayer as long as he has not settled in a customary sense, such as being committed to a job or study, and in this case, he is not required to make up the prayers.

If the time for prayer begins for a traveler, and he does not pray until he reaches his home (non-traveling state), there are two opinions: The first is that he makes it up shortened, and the second is that he makes it up in full. The more cautious approach is to adopt the latter opinion.
